w.i.p.~ work in progress

Work -in-progress.  The levels that those three words can be explored… but won’t be.  Take a look at some of the things that I’m currently working on:

Properly practiced, knitting soothes the troubled spirit, and it doesn’t hurt the untroubled spirit either.”                                                ~ Elizabeth Zimmermann

they take f.o.r.e.v.e.r. Start collecting your rags now! I just bought bedsheets from the second hand store because a) I’m impatient and b) I wanted a ‘practice’ rug.
Cut them into 1.5 or 2″ strips and then sew end to end. When you have enough roll them into balls and braid them. The tutorial I used said each ball should be about 6″ across in diameter (bigger if you’re using thicker fabric). After braiding about 10″ you start to sew it together with lacing cord and a dull needle.

I’ll post more pics as I go along. 🙂
